According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a ground stop was issued after a JetBlue flight bound for Palm Beach reported smoke in the cockpit. The aircraft diverted to Newark, where passengers were evacuated using emergency slides.

Newark Liberty International Airport issued a Travel Advisory after the incident, writing on X, “Flight operations at Newark Liberty are temporarily suspended while an aircraft is removed from the taxiway due to an earlier incident. Travelers are encouraged to check with their airline for up-to-date travel information.”
