As already mentioned before, the latest discount of Rs 2.89 lakh has significantly lowered the ex-showroom price of the Ninja ZX-10R as it now stands at Rs 17.90 lakh. Such discounts are uncommon in the litre-class superbike segment where price reductions are usually limited.
The ZX-10R competes with models like the BMW S 1000 RR and Ducati Panigale V4 in India and these models are priced substantially higher. As a result, the temporary price reduction may attract buyers who were previously considering mid-capacity performance motorcycles.
Engine, Performance And Hardware
Let’s take a look at the mechanicals too. The Ninja ZX-10R for those who don’t know, is powered by a 998cc inline four-cylinder engine that produces around 202.19 hp of maximum power (with RAM Air) and 112 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and includes an assist and slipper clutch.
Now about hardware, the motorcycle features a lightweight aluminium twin-spar frame, Showa suspension at both ends as well as dual front disc brakes with radial-mounted callipers.
