Authorities have issued a public safety alert in Marine City, Michigan, urging residents to avoid the downtown area amid a possible active shooter situation.
According to a notice shared by the Office of Cottrellville Township, law enforcement agencies are currently on the scene responding to the threat. The downtown area has been shut down as a precaution while officials work to assess and contain the situation.
Residents have been advised to stay clear of the area until further notice. Authorities said updates will be provided once an all-clear is issued.
