Tata Motors has revealed the petrol versions of its Harrier and Safari lineup of SUVs. Both SUVs offer Tata’s new Hyperion turbo petrol engine and aim to corner the D-segment petrol SUV market, where competition is almost non-existent.
New Tata Harrier, Safari Petrol In Images – Engine, Power And Features
Tata Motors has revealed the petrol versions of its Harrier and Safari lineup of SUVs. Both SUVs offer Tata’s new Hyperion turbo petrol engine and aim to corner the D-segment petrol SUV market, where competition is almost non-existent.
1. Tata Harrier And Safari Petrol Revealed:
Both the Harrier and Safari petrol are identical to their diesel counterparts in terms of design and packaging.
2. Hyperion Turbo Petrol Performance:
The new Harrier and Safari petrol get the 1.5-litre Hyperion turbocharged engine that recently debuted with the Sierra. It produces 168 hp and 280 Nm of torque.
3. Harrier, Safari Petrol Variants:
The petrol versions of the SUV duo will be available in all 11 variants and additional top-end variants that Tata has announced. While #DARK editions are available in petrol, the STEALTH editions will not get the option for now.
4. Tata Harrier, Safari Petrol Transmissions:
Both the SUVs will be offered in a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission option. The variants will be decided based on the transmission the buyers select.
5. Harrier, Safari Petrol Launch And Price:
While the Harrier has been launched, the official price list will come out on a later date. Starting price can be expected to be around the Rs 13 lakh mark, considering a lower price tag when compared to the diesel.
