In a shocking incident in Odisha, a man allegedly murdered three members of his own family before fleeing the scene in *Gariyapali village of Deogarh district. The attack was reportedly triggered by a family dispute. The victims include his wife, daughter-in-law, and four-year-old granddaughter. All three were reportedly beaten to death with a hammer.

The gruesome incident took place late at night. According to reports, the accused fled immediately after committing the crime. A written complaint has been lodged by the accused’s son, and police have launched a search operation to trace the suspect. The case is currently being investigated by the Kundheigola Police Station.

According to the report, the incident happened around 11:30 PM on Friday night after an argument broke out between Ramesh Garia and his wife, Gul Garia, at their home in Gariyapali village. During the heated dispute, Ramesh allegedly attacked his wife. In an attempt to save herself, Gul reportedly ran to seek help from her daughter-in-law, Lipi Mahakul.

However, in a fit of rage, the accused allegedly attacked both his wife and daughter-in-law with a hammer, killing them on the spot. The violence did not stop there. He then allegedly attacked his four-year-old granddaughter, Ishani, who also succumbed to the injuries.

After committing the triple murder, the accused reportedly fled from the scene. Later, the accused’s son, Dhiren Garia, returned home and discovered the horrific scene. He immediately informed the police.

Upon receiving the information, the police reached the spot and began an investigation.

Speaking about the incident, Anil Mishra, Superintendent of Police of Deogarh, said the incident occurred around 11 PM and appears to have been triggered by a family dispute. He confirmed that a complaint has been registered and a forensic team will visit the crime scene to collect evidence.

Police have registered a case and launched a search operation to arrest the accused. Further investigation into the matter is currently underway.
