RCB made a solid start to their campaign and chased down the target of 202 in only 15.4 overs against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the tournament opener. After a week’s rest, RCB defeated Chennai Super Kings in their next game on April 5th.
The defending champions suffered their first defeat of the tournament against Rajasthan Royals (RR). Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Dhruv Jurel punished RCB’s bowlers to propel their team to a comfortable win. The inaugural IPL Champions chased down 202 in 18 overs.
