Firefighters arrived at the scene and declared a working fire, focusing on exterior operations for safety. A firefighter suffered injuries when part of the roof collapsed.

A quick mayday was called, alerting all units to the emergency and triggering immediate rescue efforts.

The injured firefighter was safely removed from the spot and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Another Fire Incident

Earlier in the day, a two-story house on 7 Caitlin Court in Kinnelon, Morris County, caught fire, prompting a third-alarm response from local fire crews. Authorities said that the blaze fully involved the structure and that part of the roof had collapsed during firefighting operations.
