Saim Ayub and captain Salman Agha then stabilized the innings with a quick half-century stand for the 2nd wicket. Ayub got out for 40 runs, as Adam Zampa took his wicket and got rid of the partnership. Zampa then again delivered in his very next over, dismissing Salman Agha for 39.
This is the final preparatory series for both teams for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026 which begins in India and Sri Lanka on September 7.
However, Pakistan’s participation in the mega global event is still uncertain. PCB have stated that they will consult with the Government and arrive at a decision regarding their participation in the tournament on Friday, January 30 or Monday, February 2. This is their attempt to support Bangladesh, who were kicked out of the tournament after they repeatedy refused to travel to India citing security reasons.

Mitchell Marsh and Josh Inglis will not play the first match of the series, as they are being rested, landing in Pakistan just 48 hours after playing their last game in the Big Bash League. Travis Head captains Pakistan in this match Players like Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins, Glenn Maxwell, Nathan Ellis, and Marcus Stoinis have been rested for this series heading into the T20 World Cup.
