Sammy Sosa, Jamie Foxx Appear In New Epstein Files: What Are The Allegations Against Them?

sammy sosa, jamie foxx appear in new epstein files: what are the allegations against them?

The newest batch of Jeffrey Epstein files included brief mentions of former MLB star Sammy Sosa and actor Jamie Foxx. Their names appear only in unverified, second-hand tips included in the massive document dump released by the US Department of Justice (DOJ).

There is no evidence of wrongdoing, no allegations of abuse, and no indication either man had any direct link to Epstein’s crimes.

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) on Friday released over 3 million pages, along with over 2,000 videos and 180,000 images. The files were released as part of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which requires the government to disclose materials related to Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Where Do Sammy Sosa and Jamie Foxx Appear In Epstein Files?

One unverified entry from an anonymous tipster claimed that around 2004 or 2005, a party hosted by socialite Sir Ivan Wilzig was attended by Jeffrey Epstein, US President Donald Trump, Sammy Sosa, Ghislaine Maxwell, and others.

The tipster also claimed, without evidence, that “several women were being auctioned”. Another reference said a young woman aged 18–23 was brought from Oklahoma.

These allegations are raw, unproven tips and have not been supported by any evidence.

A different unverified portion of the same or related tip mentioned Jamie Foxx, claiming that “Collette” was later seen at the Cheetah Club in New York years later.

She allegedly told someone that Jamie Foxx was “interested in spending a night with a woman and could pay her a lot of money.”

These references are second-hand claims, not verified reports, investigations, or accusations. The documents clearly indicate they are FBI tip-line submissions, not evidence.

What Else Is In New Epstein Document Release?

The latest DOJ release includes new documents, interview transcripts, photographs, call logs, and internal notes. It included materials previously withheld during the December deadline review, and heavy redactions to protect victims.

The files also include psychological reports, prison documents, and material involving Ghislaine Maxwell.

The files also contain numerous unverified claims involving Donald Trump, none of which have been supported by evidence. The DOJ said that many allegations in the documents are false, untrue, or sensationalized tips submitted through hotlines.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said that neither Trump nor Bill Clinton has been publicly accused of wrongdoing by investigators and both deny knowing about Epstein’s abuse of minors.

Epstein died by suicide in a New York jail in August 2019, one month after being indicted on federal sex-trafficking charges.

His associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, was convicted in 2021 and is serving a 20-year sentence.
