Seyon: Sivakarthikeyan’s Film Set To Begin Shoot – Plot, Cast Details, And More

Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International has officially unveiled Seyon, starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role and directed by Sivakumar Murugesan. The makers recently shared an announcement teaser that offers an emotional glimpse into the director’s journey from being an ardent Kamal Haasan admirer to helming a film under his idol’s prestigious banner. The teaser also revealed that the filming for Seyon will begin soon. Meanwhile, backed by RKFI in association with Turmeric Media, the film also features music by Santhosh Narayanan. Seyon to begin filming soon

The makers of Seyon shared an emotional announcement teaser on May 17. The teaser revealed that the filming for the film will commence from tomorrow (May 18). Meanwhile, the teaser begins with Murugesan recalling how Kamal Haasan’s iconic films inspired him to dream of becoming a filmmaker. Visuals of Haasan posters set the tone as the director narrates his emotional journey from being a fan to entering the office of RKFI for a story narration.

One of the teaser’s most emotional moments comes when Sivakumar Murugesan reveals that he once dreamed of receiving just an autograph from Kamal Haasan. Instead, the legendary actor signed an 80-page agreement to back his film, which the director described as the “biggest autograph” of his life.

The video then introduces Sivakarthikeyan, who is seen arriving at the office and interacting warmly with Kamal Haasan. Expressing his excitement over the collaboration, the actor joins the team for the official project launch. Bhagyashri Borse also appears in the teaser and shares her gratitude for being part of such a prestigious production. Notably, Seyon brings together Sivakarthikeyan and director Sivakumar once again, with the actor also producing Murugesan’s upcoming film, Thaai Kizhavi.

On the technical front, the film features music by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematography by Vivek Vijayakumar, editing by San Lokesh, stunts coordinated by Supreme Sundar, art direction by RK Nagu, and costumes designed by Keerthy Sampath and Joshua Maxwell J.

Meanwhile, the first glimpse of Seyon opened at a tensed Karumathur festival, where a feared figure disrupts the celebrations. Inspector Aruldoss investigated as witnesses describe the mysterious man, later revealed as Sivakarthikeyan’s character, revered as ‘Lord Virumandi,’ (indirect reference to Kamal Haasan’s film Virumandi). The teaser then shifted to high-octane action, hinting at his Army past and protest involvement, a nod to his earlier roles.
