Donald Trump’s approval rating has hit a new low, with primary reasons being his handling of the Iran war and rising cost of living, according to NBC News’ new poll powered by SurveyMonkey. As per the new survey, only 37 per cent of the respondents give a thumbs up to Trump’s job as the President of the United States, a sharp decline of 10 per cent since he began his second term in the White House in January 2025.

The latest survey suggests that 63 per cent of respondents disapprove of Trump’s performance, with 50 per cent of them disapproving strongly, according to NBC News Decision Desk Polling. Out of these, two-thirds of respondents also disagree with Trump’s handling of the Iran war and inflation.

Trump’s Approval Rating Continues on Declining Trend

Last year when Donald Trump began his second term in the White House, his approval rating was 47 per cent, but it has now dropped to 37 per cent, as it continues to remain on a downward trend.

Only 32 per cent of the respondents approve of Trump’s handling of inflation and cost of living, compared to 68 per cent who disapprove him.

Further, 52 per cent of the respondents said they strongly disapprove of Trump’s handling of the issue, while another 16 per cent said they somewhat disapprove.
