A disturbing incident from Noida has sparked fresh concerns over women’s safety after a woman alleged that she, along with two other women, was chased in broad daylight by men travelling in a car. According to the woman, two of the men were allegedly naked and attempted to intimidate their auto-rickshaw by overtaking and blocking it on the road, leaving the women terrified during the ordeal.
The entire incident was narrated by the woman in a video shared on Instagram by a user identified as Deepika. In the video, she explains, ”What will you do if a car filled with three men, out of which two are naked, is chasing your auto? That is exactly what happened to us in Noida, where in broad daylight we were going from one place to another, which was just 10 minutes away. This area has some secluded parts and some heavily populated areas. There are a lot of offices over here, and we had just left. Then there were three guys in a cab and they started chasing the auto and trying to ambush it or topple it over.”
She further added, ”And we obviously got startled and wondered what was happening. The moment we checked, we saw that one guy was completely naked and lying on the passenger seat with his legs up on the dashboard, and they were grinning. There was one guy sitting in the backseat whose face we could not see, and then they started moving again, trying to overtake the auto.”
She further narrated, ”Then the guy brought the car in front of the auto and stopped it there. All three of us were women, and all three of us were terrified. All we could think of was saving ourselves.”
She concluded in the video, ”I am just making this video to tell you that if you are a woman working in Noida, please take care of your safety. It is not safe at 2 in the morning and it is not safe at 2 in the afternoon.”

The video has since gone viral and sparked debate and concerns over women’s safety. One concerned user asked, ”Did you record the incident or at least file a police complaint? If not, you should do so. These guys will continue their behavior if the police do not stop them.”
Another remarked, ”Very scary. What else can be expected from these Noida, Ghaziabad-born people? Upbringing. I have experienced people drinking and trying to kidnap me.”
While another commented, ”Even listening to the incident scared me. When I lived there, I was eve-teased inside the township road where every gate had a security guard. One of the reasons I decided to leave Noida.”
