Hollywood’s award season is in full gear as the second major ceremony of 2026 is about to get started. The 83rd annual Golden Globes will assemble the stars of the top-grossing films year from Sinners, One Battle After Another and Weapons. Actors and actresses from the top films and television will also attend as both nominees and presents of the star-studded night. While the awards ceremony is being held in Los Angeles on January 11, in India, fans can watch the show live from 6:30 am. Here’s all you need to know about the awards show organised by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA).

Where to watch the Golden Globes 2026

The 83rd Golden Globes will be held on Sunday, January 11, at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. The show is set to start at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT on CBS. The awards ceremony will also stream live on Paramount+ internationally. In India, viewers can watch the show on JioHotstar from 6:30 am IST.

Golden Globes 2026 host and presenters

After a successful debut in 2025, comedian Nikki Glaser is back for a second year in a row to host the ceremony. The biggest names in film, television and music have been tapped in as presenters. Varanasi star Priyanka Chopra is one of the names on the list as are Ana de Armas, Charli xcx, Jason Bateman, Jennifer Garner, Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon, Snoop Dogg, Joe Keery, Blackpink’s Lisa, Melissa McCarthy, Mila Kunis, Colman Domingo and Zoë Kravitz.

Golden Globes 2026 nominees and honourees

On Tuesday, January 6, actresses Sarah Jessica Parker and Dame Helen Mirren, who were honored at the Golden Eve special. Harrison Ford presented Mirren with the Cecil B. DeMille Award for achievement in entertainment at the inaugural Golden Eve celebration, while Sex and the City’s Sarah Jessica Parker was honoured with the Carol Burnett Award for outstanding contributions to television on or off screen.

In the film categories, Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another leads with nine nominations, including best motion picture (musical or comedy) and best director. The film’s stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Chase Infiniti and Teyana Taylor are also nominated. Other top-nominated films include Sentimental Value with eight nominations and Ryan Coogler’s Sinners with seven nominations. Chloé Zhao’s Hamnet, Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein and Jon M. Chu’s Wicked: For Good are also top contenders with their stars Jacob Elordi, Paul Mescal, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande attending.

In the TV categories, Mike White’s The White Lotus leads as the most nominated television show with six nominations, while Emmy-winner Adolescence is second with five nominations. Other top series competing are Only Murders in the Building, The Pitt, Severance, The Bear, and Nobody Wants This. For the first time, the awards are introducing a category for podcasting. Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, Call Her Daddy, Good Hang with Amy Poehler, The Mel Robbins Podcast, SmartLess and Up First from NPR will go up for the inaugural category for best podcast on January 11.
