Welcome to the Jungle actress Jacqueline Fernandez appeared before the Patiala House Court on June 3 in the Rs 200 crore money laundering case linked to Sukesh Chandrasekhar. She is accused of receiving several expensive gifts from Sukesh Chandrasekhar despite being aware of his criminal activities. Jacqueline has denied the charges against her. The high-profile money laundering case alleges that, along with the gifts received from Sukesh, the actress also transferred money into the foreign bank accounts of family members. With Jacqueline’s latest court appearance, there has been significant progress in the case.

A video of Jacqueline leaving from Patiala House Court in New Delhi was shared online. She wore a white salwar kameez with a dupatta and covered her mouth with a black mask. She did not speak to the media as questions about whether she signed the charges were asked of her.

The actress is said to have accepted gifts from Sukesh as well as other monetary gains of over Rs. 5.71 crore; she knew of his criminal dealings and still took them. Jacqueline has denied the charges framed against her.

Earlier this week, the Patiala House Court ruled that they could now proceed against the accused in the money laundering case as there was sufficient material available under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Beside Jacqueline, other accused in the case are Sukesh Chandrasekhar, Leena Maria Paul alias Leena Paulose, Deepak Ramnani, Pradeep Ramdanee, B. Mohanraj, Arun Muthu, D. Kamlesh Kothari, Pinky Irani, Pooja Singh, Dharam Singh Meena, Mahender Prasad Sundriyal, Sunder Bora, Komal Poddar, Jitender Narula, Avinash Kumar, and Jai Prakash Singhal.

The case alleges that funds were extorted from businesswoman Aditi Singh and laundered through a vast and complex network of shell companies and transactions. The accused bought up several luxury gifts and assets under this racket.

Jacqueline Fernandez’s upcoming projects

In 2025, Jacqueline appeared in the Bollywood films Fateh and Housefull 5. She also had a special appearance in the Raid 2 song Money Money. Her next feature, the comedy film Welcome to the Jungle, is releasing worldwide on June 26, 2026. The multi-starrer, directed by Ahmed Khan, features a cast of 30 actors that includes Akshay Kumar, Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Lara Dutta, Arshad Warsi, Raveena Tandon, Johny Lever, and Paresh Rawal. It is the third film in the Welcome franchise.
