A massive fire broke out at an industrial building located at 9 Pennsylvania Avenue in Corry, Erie County on Thursday. Firefighters are responding to the massive blaze.

The fire has been classified as a 3rd alarm, meaning multiple units from nearby towns and counties have been called to assist.

The blaze broke out in a two-story industrial building, with heavy fire reported on both floors.

In a post on X, Alert Page stated, “CORRY, PA (ERIE COUNTY) | *3RD ALARM* | 9 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE | 3RD ALARM NOW REQUESTED FOR A 2 STY INDUSTRIAL BUILDING WITH HEAVY FIRE BOTH FLOORS. EVACUATION TONES SOUNDED. ALL PERSONNELS OUT.”

Evacuation tones were sounded, and all personnel inside the building were safely evacuated. No injuries were reported.

What Caused The Fire?

The cause of the fire was unknown at the time. Fire crews worked to control the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby buildings. Additional equipment was requested to help contain the situation.

The industrial facility at 9 Pennsylvania Avenue was fully evacuated. Nearby areas experienced smoke and fire-related disruptions as crews worked to manage the blaze.

Residents and workers in the surrounding areas were advised to stay clear of the scene.

Firefighters from Erie County and neighboring towns were on-site battling the fire. Authorities confirmed that all emergency personnel were out of danger.

Industrial building fires can spread quickly due to the materials stored inside.

Another Fire Incident

Earlier in the day, a fire broke out at a police impound and evidence storage warehouse in Brooklyn. Firefighters doused the building with water from multiple directions as they worked to bring the blaze under control.

The warehouse, where the fire broke out, is operated by the New York Police Department and is one of five facilities used to store confiscated vehicles. It is also used to hold items of evidence that are too large for standard storage areas.

However, the exact cause of the fire couldn’t be determined.
