New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye is headed to the 2026 Super Bowl, and by his side every step of the way is his wife, Ann Michael Maye (née Hudson). The couple, who have known each other since middle school, married in June 2025 in North Carolina after a years-long relationship that began well before Maye’s rise to NFL stardom.
Drake and Ann Michael met in middle school and later attended high school in North Carolina before both enrolling at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Their relationship became public in 2020, when Drake shared a New Year’s post on Instagram calling Ann Michael a “10.” From that point on, she remained a constant presence throughout his football journey.
After Drake was selected by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, he proposed to Ann Michael during a beachside moment in January 2025. The couple tied the knot on June 21, 2025, at the Grandfather Golf and Country Club in North Carolina. Reflecting on married life, Drake said in February 2026, “Getting married is one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life.”
Who Is Ann Michael Maye?
Ann Michael Maye is more than just the wife of an NFL quarterback. She graduated from UNC in May 2025 with a degree in business administration and was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority. Football has long been part of her family life — her father played college football at Wofford, and her younger brother, Tad, was once teammates with Drake at UNC before transferring to Coastal Carolina.
Ann Michael has also built her own following online. She went viral on TikTok for her baking videos and now has more than 500,000 followers, sharing recipes, crafting projects, and gameday outfits. Her popularity led to an NBC Sports Boston series, Beyond Bakemas, where she showcases her baking skills.
She frequently delivers homemade treats to the Patriots, with the offensive line being her most enthusiastic recipients. Drake has shared that his favorites include her cinnamon roll snickerdoodles, Crumbl-inspired sugar cookies, and Puppy Chow.
