Kendra Duggar and her husband Joseph Duggar are facing escalating legal trouble after new charges were filed against them in Arkansas, and Kendra has now been taken into custody, according to records from the Washington County Detention Center.
A warrant had been issued for Kendra’s arrest earlier Friday, with law enforcement arriving at the Duggar family compound in Washington County, Arkansas, around 1 p.m. to serve it. She was not home at the time, but has since been arrested. She was wanted on charges related to endangering the welfare of a minor and false imprisonment.
According to Tontitown Police, both Joseph Duggar, 31, and Kendra Duggar, 27, are each charged with four counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment. Authorities confirmed that these Arkansas charges are separate and unrelated to Joseph’s earlier case in Florida.
Joseph Duggar is currently being held at the Washington County Detention Center in connection with the Florida case. He was previously arrested on March 18 over allegations involving lewd and lascivious behavior and molestation of a minor under the age of 12, tied to an alleged 2020 incident.
As soon as news of charges against Kendra surfaced, social media was flooded with claims that she had already been arrested or had turned herself in. While earlier there was no official confirmation, detention records now indicate she is in custody.
Police also noted that while the Arkansas investigation is separate, it was launched following developments in the Florida case. The investigation remains active and ongoing, with authorities withholding further details due to the involvement of minor victims.
Joseph Duggar’s booking records show he is scheduled to appear in court on April 29 at 2 PM in Elm Springs District Court for the Arkansas charges.
The couple, who married in 2017 and share four children, now face multiple legal challenges across two states as investigations continue.
