Joseph Garrett Duggar, 31, has been arrested by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office in Florida on multiple charges related to alleged sexual abuse of a minor.
Authorities said Duggar is facing charges including lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim under 12, as well as inappropriate conduct by an adult. The allegations are tied to incidents that reportedly took place during a 2020 family vacation in Panama City Beach.
According to officials, the victim, now 14 years old, disclosed the alleged abuse during a forensic interview. Investigators said the victim’s father later confronted Duggar about the claims, and Duggar allegedly admitted to the actions when questioned.
Duggar is currently awaiting extradition to Bay County to face the charges. The case has brought renewed attention to the Duggar family.
